Cobblestone/Graceful Quilter's Challenge

The Graceful Quilter's will be working on Cobblestone Quilts this April/May. This is a wonderful quilt pattern designed by Lynn Rice and Debra Meyer from the Touch of Amish Quilt Shop in Barrington IL. ( A past Top 10 Quilt Shop in It is a beautiful quilt that looks harder than it is and has a wonderful, fun, easy "trick" in the making. The group will have fun, I'm sure. We will also enjoy some Jimmy John's sandwiches. YUM!! These are pics of one I made for myself, but the colors are off in the pics. It is beautiful roses tans and greens.

Here is a picture of the one I made (pictures are the quilt in progress) for the Sisterhood Raffle. The proceeds go to defray cost for women who are recovering from breast cancer and are then able to attend a retreat. It was done in Christmas Fabrics.

So now I am starting one from my stash and will donate it to the Lutherdale Quilt Auction in Elkhorn WI. Here are the fabrics I am going to use. Maybe start the strips sets today.

So anyone from the Graceful Quilters, who wants me to Machine Quilt(meander) their Cobblestone Quilt for $50 ( I'm trying to justify & defray cost of my new JUKI machine)--- I would love to do it--- IF you leave a comment on this blog post. First Graceful Quilter to comment on this blog post will get their Cobblestone Quilt done for FREE. Now there is a challenge!! C

Forgot these two pictures. My Workshop work--
And I made myself another fabric box, love these too! Can you see who is behind the box, on the counter in my utility room? Click on the picture to make it bigger!! FUN!!
Keep going and read the next post too!! C

Hello again, I am sewing away in AZ. The weather is just beautiful, but I still make time to sew a little bit everyday. I have been walking every AM with Daisy and she and I and Tom too, are all doing well. Tom is golfing about 3 to 4 times a week. That leaves me with a lot of time to work on my project.
I took a class at The Olde World Quilt Shoppe near here with Lisa Bongean. She is the designer of the Primitive Gatherings fabrics and patterns and has a shop in Menasha, WI. Here is my project from the class

The pattern is called Needful Things. The class was all day and so much fun. I would love to visit her shop. It is about 1 hour north of Milwaukee, so maybe a two day trip with other quilt shop stops. Anyone interested?

My hand appliqued Country Whip Rose top finish, but needs to be quilted.
A really fun machine appliqued quilt top!
The colors are better in the last picture.

An Easter Runner from Shabby Fabrics, needs to be quilted.

A little side project done with a mini twister tool from Primitive Gatherings and a kit put together during the class at the Olde Quilt Shoppe.
The center is only 6 1/2", don't know what I'll do with it, maybe a pillow.

Some more zipper pouches. I made 5 golf and 5 valentines, I love those things!!

And I am working on a baby quilt for a friend who recently had her first grandchild. It was a kit from the Olde World Quilt Shoppe.

It needs to be quilted. I think it will be so cute!!
Hope you are all happy, healthy and busy too!!! C
