Finished this applique block and am now working on the last three blocks. I will post pics as I finish. I have also finished both Aug2011 LWR tops and one is pinned. I will try to post pics of those also. I have also been trying to find fabric for close to $3 a yard or less on line and have been able to buy and cut enough into 8 1/2" squares for 6 more LWR quilts.

  1. Each of these appliques are more beautiful than the previous! What an heirloom the finished quilt will be!!
Service Workshop has been given fabric from Julie R. (a good and faithful church member). Need your advise as to the best use for all of it! It is all solid color, 42": 5 1/3 yds yellow, 6 yds purple, 7 2/3 yds orange, 3 3/4 yd dark pink, 8 yds turquoise and 3 yds green! Quite a wonderful donation!! LWR sewing kits call for two 3 yd lengths - don't know if two solids are okay or if one length of solid should be combined with a print. Also, a Sat. Quest for Quilts workday is scheduled for Sept. 24. Donations are coming in to church to fill the school kits for LWR, though not as quickly as I had hoped! Looking forward to your return to IL!
