Hi, got started on the blocks for the Spider Webs and found an error or two in the pattern. UGH. I can't even talk about it, it is so upsetting. I shouldn't really be surprised after all the problems I've found in patterns over the years. A less experienced quilter would probably QUIT!! I may quit on this quilt.

  1. The blog is terrific!! Love the look of it and all the photos and info. Thanks Christine and all who put this together.

I'm going to Donna Derstadt's studio today. She is a quilter that Christine introduced me to and is going to machine quilt my sampler quilt from 2007 and Sean's wedding quilt from last year. Hooray!! 2 almost completed projects. Thanks Christine... couldn't have done it without you. I'll provide photos when completed.

  2. Chin up, Mama! You are an advanced quilted so no quitting for you. Plus, you love puzzles...so think of this as a puzzle & dig in! It looks like a cute quilt. Can't wait to see it! Love you...:)

  3. Okay, I'll give this a try. It is great to see your pcts. and to know what you are up to. I've worked some on Joy/Rick quilt but mainly doing 'odds and ends' projects in my sewing room. I handed out LWR school bags to be sewn and have only 4 left! Beautiful weather here yesterday and today!! Nancy

  5. Thanks all for joining me with the comments, it helps to know you are with me. I took frustrations over the Spider Web out to the golf course and shot a 47 (nine holes and yes, very easy course)which felt good but I should be better, maybe next week. Christine

  6. I don't want to be responsible for every mistake made by an English Quilter!!! I can make enough myself! Sorry you have had problems though (see, I do feel responsible). I have spent the day showing two of Chris' walking friends the basics of patchwork and quilting. Am shattered now. We are meeting up again at a quilt show about an hour from here on 20th June. I wonder if I will have to buy some more fabric???

  7. More fabric-yes, of course. I went online last night to try to find something to help me with the Spider Web problem and ordered 3 different 2 yard pieces of green hoping one of them will work and the others will, I guess, feed my stash, oh well.
