Marilyn's Comments

This is Marilyn with her Paper Pieced Sampler, such a beautiful quilt and here are comments from Marilyn--

I've been working on a red-work table centerpiece
for Lori's kitchen. I think I'll have Joni quilt it, tho. Barb will
help me put it together. The fabric came from Bev F. Also have
been feverishly working on a family album with pictures and stories
that my 95 yr. aunt has written. She is anxious to have me finish it
and so am I !!!

Have a great vacation and say "Hi" to Dorothy.

  1. Hi Christine -

Wow - had not check the blog for a couple days and a lot has shown up! It's fun to see and hear about your activities! I hope we get to see you in Libertyville before your trip to England -especially Sat. Sept. 18 for the Service Workshop Quest for Quilts day. Emmi is making soup for lunch that day - so you are off the hook for that responsibility! Grace Lutheran church members have come through, as always, with plenty of school supplies for atleast 150 school kits for LWR. Anyone interested in our LWR projects can go to lwr.org/slideshow. Good sites are:Lutheran World Relief Quilts and Kits, Emergency Response (Feb 2010 Newsletter shows step by step how quilts, etc. are processed and distributed), and Resources - Overview - LWR (Ordinary to Extraordinary). We will assemble the school kits Sept. 7 - display the quilts in church Sept. 19 and dedicate and bless all the quilts, school kits, sewing kits and layettes Sept. 26 before they are shipped off the following weekend to LWR. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
